What is our goal?

My goal is to create a solid academic foundation that nurtures a love of learning and builds the confidence students carry with them throughout their entire school journey.

Over the past eight years, every kindergarten student in my class has graduated reading and writing at or above a first-grade level — regardless of where they started. We don’t stop there: our math curriculum goes beyond kindergarten standards to ensure students are more than ready for first grade and beyond.

At Petite Academy, our kindergarten class is limited to just twelve students, ensuring personalized attention for each child. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes:

  • Phonics/Sight Words

  • Reading

  • Writing

  • Math

  • Science

  • Social Studies

  • Technology, Art, Music, and Physical Education are thoughtfully integrated throughout the year as we explore the core academic subjects.

Our learning is enriched with games and interactive activities that spark whole-group discussions, helping students deeply experience, understand, and stay engaged in every lesson. Students are encouraged to think independently and apply critical thinking to solve problems on their own, helping them build both confidence and essential life skills.

We’ll embark on fun, educational field trips to plays and learning centers, and—weather permitting—take neighborhood walks to the local library. We also celebrate holidays and host special themed days that make learning even more fun and memorable for our students. In a warm and nurturing environment, children will learn through hands-on experiences and explore the world around them.
